Changes to my study program


Hi there! Is me again! I’m Tania from Sociology and now I’m going to talk to you about some changes I would do to my study program.
Well, if I think about the program I began to study five years ago, of course I would do it some changes, because with the time we as students could note different problems that our program has like some subjects that nobody understands their contains or the objective it has. And also, we as students note that our curriculum program was too old so, many of the subjects were organized in other times with other needs very different that the needs we actually have.

So yeah, we are really grateful that our curriculum programs has been change this year for the future generations and it has included subjects that wasn’t considered as a need before like Gender Sociology, and they also eliminate subjects that were repetitive like Economy II or Psychology I. The new program also contemplate a change on the subjects we study before, changing their names and the obligatory contains it should has, so now our career has all the Theories subjects with their own name that explain their content, while we did have Theory one, two, three, etc.  Or also the Statics subject has their name according to their content while we did have Statics one, two, three, etc.


Finally, if I think on changes to the program despite it has been change; I would like to include the use of new technologies and maybe new contains related with the problem we have actually. I mean, I would like the career get more focus on the solutions we need today and not only on the theories that explain it. I would also add more specialty elective subjects maybe asking to student what they want to learn, because to me as experience, take electives like Football’s sociology did just make me love a career that I wasn’t really satisfied with.

    Hi! Tania, I also think that at first the student dont understend nothing at all, but also think that the teachers at university know so much, but dont have pedagogy By!

    I´m of psychology and here we also have some subjects are very old and needs to be updated :(

My future job

Hi there, today I’m going to talk to you about what kind of job I would like to have some day. Well, I have to recognize that I’m not really sure about this theme yet because I would like to work abroad and I’m not sure too if it would be on my studies area or in something else. So, if I think about what kind of job I would like to have here on Chile, I would love to work on the social science area associated with the sports and football specially because it’s the area on what I’m tried to develop my career. I really love the football and the different ways by can be aboard since the social science, and I would really love to work on some football team, specially on women’s soccer team because it’s what about my thesis is going to be.
